With the Supreme Court voting to overturn Roe v. Wade on Friday, we thought it was important to revisit the businesses and organizations that supported Lubbock’s abortion ban in May 2021. The ordinance, making the city a “sanctuary city for the unborn,” had a number of vocal supporters, including many of Lubbock’s largest religious organizations. The following is a list of businesses and churches that had a sign on their property expressing their support for the ordinance the day after polls closed on May 1, 2021.
